Desc. of Regular Meetings/Activities
Alpha Pi Mu holds the following activities:
Bi-weekly cabinet meetings: The five members and advisor meet to plan and coordinate the semester's events and initiation.
Initiation week: This is a week for all viable candidates to learn about Alpha Pi Mu's activities and purpose and also allows them to meet their fellow students better. Activities include informational sessions, signature sessions, two social events such as bowling and Friday after Class, and ends with a Meet the Professor dinner.
General Meetings: Alpha Pi Mu holds two general meetings often joint with the Institute for Industrial Engineers (IIE) student organization. These include presentations from companies over current Industrial Engineering topics in a social environment.
Service Project: Alpha Pi Mu volunteers for at least one service project a semester to improve the community of Ames. Activities in the past have included Stuff the Bus and Stash the Trash.
