To provide an interest in the field of sociology, research of social problems, and such other social and intellectual activities as will lead to improvement in the human condition.
Undergraduates: Sociology major or have serious interest in the field, at least a junior with 3.0 overall GPA and rank in top 35% of their class.
Must have 3.0 GPA in sociology courses taken at ISU & have completed at least four regular courses in sociology prior to initiation.
Graduates: Completion of one half year of graduate study in sociology with GPA of B or better.
Staff Members: Ph.D. in sociology or employment as a sociologist and meet other grade requirements.
