Our purpose is to enrich our future Anthropologists at ISU in the Anthropological field. Not only would we like to become more aware of Anthropological fields and studies via speakers who are involved in Anthropology, but we would also like to gain more hands-on experience that may not be offered inside the classroom. We hope to create a comfortable environment in which students can learn and become excited about Anthropology, while creating lasting friendships.

Membership Qualifications
Students who share an interest in any of the four sub-disciplines of Anthropology, whether you are a major/minor or not, are welcome to join. You must be attending Iowa State to become a member. Those who are not currently attending Iowa State University and wish to join may be considered upon request. In order to be elected as an officer you must have at least one full year left at Iowa State, given that officer elections are only held in the spring.

We try to do a variety of activities. We have had students who have studied abroad and professors give presentations; we have carved pumpkins using lithic tools; in the past, Anthro Club has had student vs. professor volleyball tournaments and an intramural dodgeball team called the "Folsom Points". We try to go on field trips when the opportunity arises. We have movie nights- whatever creative ideas we can devise!
